Columbus Day

Do you think we should celebrate Columbus Day in the United States? Why or why not?

I think we should, mostly because Columbus was the one who found America, even though he was really mean toward the Natives there.

I don't think we should. Columbus never did step foot in our country. And he was horrible to his men. He killed many Native Americans.

I don't really think we should. Columbus didn't find the U.S., he found Cuba. Plus why shuld we celebrate a holiday about a man that set dogs in infants! ;)

no,because he was responsible for the death of thousands of the people who lived there so I dont even really get why we celebrate Columbus day when he, and his men murdered and sent thousands to be slaves.

I think we shouldn't because he was so awful to his men and to the Native Americans that he found. He never actually stepped in North America, he found Cuba.

I think that we should not because columbus was vey mean to all the natives. He did not care about them and he stole their land so it is not his. Also cuba is not part of the U.S.A. He does not deserve it.
